HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

⦁ PUERTO ESCONDIDO – SAN JOSÉ DEL PROGRESO

You take a colectivo (urban bus) from Puerto Escondido to Pinotepa or "El Charquito" Rio Grande.

You will get off the bus in the town of San José del Progreso and from there you will take a pick-up truck with a colorful tarp to Chacahua La Grúa (where the lighthouse is).

Arriving at Chacahua La Grúa, you will take a colectivo boat to cross to "la playita", from there, you will walk about 2 minutes to the hotel.

The boat crossing takes approximately 2 minutes.

⦁ PUERTO ESCONDIDO – ZAPOTALITO

You will take an Urban to "El Charquito" Rio Grande or to Pinotepa. You will get off the Urban at the turnoff to Zapotalito. Then you will take a public transport (colectivo) that will take you to the port of Zapotalito, there you will take a public transport by boat that will take you to the next stop where you will wait for a pickup truck that will take you to Chacahua La Isla (where the hotel is). The pickup truck will drop you off a minute's walk from the hotel.

The other option is: from Zapotalito take a public tranport by boat directly to Chacahua La Isla. The trip takes approximately 40 minutes and you will be able to enjoy the lagoon, mangroves and birds.

TUR. From Puerto Escondido to the Zapotalito turnoff.

Cab-type public transport. From the Zapotalito turnoff to the port to take the boat to Chacahua.

Public transportation by boat. From the port of Zapotalito where you take the pickup trucks to Chacahua "La Isla".

⦁ HOW TO GET TO CHACAHUA BY PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION

You will take the highway from Puerto Escondido towards San José del Progreso, it will be approximately one hour of dirt road until you reach Chacahua La Grúa. Afterwards, you will have to cross by boat to "la playita" and you will be one minute walking to the hotel.
